6th A & 6th B Teams Out Of Cup

Unfortunately our 6thA and 6thB Teams were both knocked out of the County Cup by Roscrea opposition in Shinrone last night 30th March.
Both teams trailed by two matches having been beaten 4-2 in the home 1st legs. This was always going to be a mountain to climb, especially away from home and it did prove too difficult on the night. It was another night to chaulk down to experience and these types of matches can only stand to them for the future.

Roscrea Table Quiz

A reminder that the Roscrea Badminton Club Table Quiz is on this Friday April 3rd in Philly O Rourkes Pub in Roscrea.
Roscrea should us great support at our own table quiz and I think we should return the gesture by attending in force.

Juvenile Competition - Great Prizes

Juvenile Competition will be held in the school this Saturday 4th April at 3pm.

All players must be there on time as the draw is being made at 3pm.
We need as many Juveniles to enter as possible.

Club Juvenile Competition on Monday 6th April.

Entries must be in with Kieran or Anna by Monday 29th as the draw will be made on Monday night and any late entries can not be accepted.

We would also like to have a girls singles championship, so girls get your entries in.

The draw will then be posted here on Tuesday.

5th Division Into County Semi

Thursday March 26th saw our 5th Div league team beat Grange A 6-1 to put them top of their group and through to the County Semi-Final.
They will now meet, either a very strong Gurteen team or a Grange B team that has already knocked them out in the first round of the Cup.
This semi will be played in Shinrone on Monday 6th April.

3rd Div & 4th Div Through to Finals

Mon 23rd March, saw our 3rd Division team go through the County Cup Final, at the expense of a very good Gurteen team. This tie was played over two legs. The first tie was drawn, away to Gurteen 3-3. In the 2nd leg Templemore were 3-0 down and knew they needed to win their last three matches in two sets to go through. They duly did and it is the first time in approx 20 years that the club has a team in a 3rd Division Final. This final is due to be played in Roscrea on Tuesday 31st March at 8pm.

Tuesday 24th March, saw our 4th Division team qualify for the County League Final after a 5-2 victory, over their opponents in the final, Roscrea. This final will be played in Gurteen on Thursday April 16th at 8pm.

Tuesday 24th March, saw our 6th A Division team beaten by a very good Grange A team which unfortunately puts this team out of the reckoning for league honours, for this year. This year proved to be a very competitive 6th A competition and there were very few points between any of the teams.

2 County Mixed Titles

Yesterday, Sunday March 22nd the County Mixed Campionships were held in Colaiste Pobal, Roscrea.
Templemore had another great showing and added two more county titles to the their achievements, when they picked up the 4th and 5th Division County Mixed Championships.
Catherine Maher & PJ Nolan won the 5th Div while Niamh Connolly & Robert Ingram won the 4th Div. Niamh & Robert in doing so beat Catherine & Kieran O Brien in a close 2-set final.
Well done to all that competed in the Championships and especially to Olivia Thorpe & Joe Keating who were very unlucky in there 6th Division semi-final losing a very close 3-set match.
